The Eagle Bay community is no stranger to the threat of wildfires. With the 2023 wildfire season proving to be a challenging one, it’s more crucial than ever for residents to come together and prepare for future fire emergencies. To address this pressing issue, the Eagle Bay Fire Department, in collaboration with CSRD FireSmart, is organizing an informative community event titled “Eagle Bay Wildfire Preparedness and Planning Presentation.”

Mark your calendars for Wednesday, September 27, from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm, as this event promises to equip residents with essential knowledge and resources to protect their homes and the community from the ever-looming threat of wildfires. The presentation will take place at the Eagle Bay Community Hall, located at 4326 Eagle Bay Rd.

The 2023 wildfire season has demonstrated the need for proactive measures in safeguarding homes and neighborhoods against wildfires. This presentation will serve as a valuable resource for attendees to understand the steps they can take to prepare for potential wildfire emergencies. With experts from the Eagle Bay Fire Department and CSRD FireSmart at the helm, residents can expect to gain invaluable insights into wildfire preparedness strategies that could make all the difference in times of crisis.

This community event is not limited to Eagle Bay alone; it welcomes all residents and property owners in Eagle Bay and the surrounding areas. Wildfires have the potential to affect everyone in the region, and a united front in preparedness is the best defense against these natural disasters.
