Sorrento PAC Release

The Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) for Sorrento Elementary School is bringing back its popular Sip Sip Hooray fundraising event on June 17. The event returns after a three-year hiatus due to COVID restrictions and promises to be a night of fun and philanthropy. 

The party will take place at Shuswap Lake Estates Community Centre in Blind Bay starting at 6 PM and will feature a variety of entertainment and activities. Guests will be treated to a live DJ, dancing, food and drinks, as well as a raffle and silent auction featuring donations from generous local businesses. 

The PAC hopes to raise as much money as possible to support Sorrento Elementary School and the many programs it funds. These include breakfast and lunch programs for all students, educational supports, extracurricular activities and resources for teachers and staff. 

“Our goal is to provide our students with the best education and learning experience possible,” said Rebecca Taylor, the PAC president. “We are excited to bring this event back and hope everyone will come out to support our kids.” 

Tickets for the fundraising party are available now and can be purchased online, at Blind Bay Village Grocer or by emailing the PAC. They are also accepting donations for the silent auction and raffle, so if you have something to contribute, please email SorrentoPAC@gmail.com. 

The Sorrento Elementary PAC has a long history of providing students with the resources they need to succeed academically and socially. By attending this fundraising event and supporting the school, guests can help ensure that this tradition continues.
